  • 2007.08.01  Updated website information.
  • 2007.05.15  An announcement from the Chairman of the Board Taketoshi Kashiwabara:

"Technoimagia Sweden AB has on Friday 11 May 2007 sold 1,168,000 class B shares in Fingerprint Cards AB. Thereafter, Technoimagia Sweden AB and Secure Design KK own in total 300,000 class A shares and 10,200 class B shares, together representing approximately 2.5 per cent of the share capital and appoximately 20.3 per cent of the votes in the company."

In view of the deterioration in the relationship with Lennart Carlson, CEO of FPC due to Mr. Carlson's refusal to pursue the profitable business strategies put forward by Technoimagia, TSAB sold its remaining B shares in FPC to an institutional investor (Deutsche Bank) on Friday for the following reasons:

1. Mr. Taketoshi Kashiwabara is the principal ultimate shareholder in Technoimagia Japan, the owner of TSAB. Mr. Kashiwabara has for sometime been concerned about the fluctuations in the share price of FPC. He is also concerned that certain fellow shareholders and board members have accused him of selling his shares at inopportune moments which have caused these fluctuations. Whilst Mr. Kashiwabara rejects this critisism as being unfounded, nevertheless he believes that by selling his interest in the listed B shares and therefore concentrating all his investment in the company in the unlisted A shares, he will be able to avoid the critisism of being the source of the company's share price instability in the future.

2. Whilst Mr. Kashiwabara has for some time had the view that he wishes to sell his interest in the company's B shares, he has chosen this moment to make the sale as at the present time the funds released from the share sales can be put to good use in view of the cashflow position of Technoimagia group as a whole.

  • 2007.04.12  A message from the Chairman of the Board Taketoshi Kashiwabara:

"I have learned that Secure Design KK and Fingerprint Cards AB have reached an agreement on the defective sensors & ASICs found among the delivered in 2006. I have also learned that SDKK has made the advanced payment for the first 5,000 units of sensor & ASICS out of the remaining 28,000 units to be purchased by SDKK. SDKK will receive the delivery very soon according to FPC. Since Technoimagia is a Japanese distributor of SDKK's products, I particularly welcome this news, and hope that this is the beginning of new business phase among Technoimagia, Secure Design, and Fingerprint Cards."
